mistakes: *enhancing - the lab didn't work (at least not now) with existing classes - that needs to be left to the expert teachers - and we think will especially be seen as teachers start getting more freedoms to own their learning as well

year 2: 2011-2012
We are seeking to enroll approximately 100 learners in the Lab14 fall 2011:
    • ten pre-k
    • ten k-3
    • ten 4-8
    • fifty 9-12
    • ten teachers/staff/admin (as learners for one project/course of their choice
    • ten 12+ CSU23 students

year 1:
min - 1 facilitator for tsd
max - 1 facilitator each (high) school, 1 content and/or *mode expert each (high) school,
*mode: context of learning space, ie: project based, hybrid, virtual, etc, f to f, etc


year 2:
min - 1 facilitator each (high) school, 1 content/mode expert each (high) school, incorporate into elem & middle
max - 1 facilitator each school, 1 content/mode expert each (highschool) discipline

year 3:
min - 1 facilitator each school, 1 content/mode expert each (highschool) discipline
max - multiple facilitators each school, 2-3 content/mode experts each (highschool) discipline

year 4:
min - multiple facilitators each school, 2-3 content/mode experts each (highschool) disipline
max - multiple facilitators each school, multiple content/mode experts each (highschool) disciplines

  • facilitate connections to virtual individual expert tutor, in-school content expert, and formation/sustainment of pln;
  • facilitate training/instruction of future expert in-class and in library tech intern


90 min face to face teacher:

expert content staff:
spends time, esp first year,
  • stocking BrainHoney with Dan Meyer-style grade system of standards,
  • creating/stocking thatquiz or quizlets (lhs experts) and other resources on site like this one,
  • creating podcast lectures for site, (expert of Alicia Cepaitis)
  • meet 1on1 and/or with small groups of students in need of help

virtual (or live) expert individual tutor:
career person per student's passion/future goals


virtual (online) teacher: writes and gives online courses


virtual (online) facilitator: facilitates student while in online course
